Marcus began his dance career at the age of 12 when his mother enrolled him in a local dance class. His natural abilities were prominent enough that both his parents thought he would be interested at competing and at 15 he entered the world circuit in the Country/Western Ballroom genre. His love for dance and desire to learn has only grown from those small beginnings. At 18 he began his teaching career and branched out into the American and Latin Ballroom world as well as ballet, studying with some of the top professionals available to him. Since then, he has helped start the local Mad Hot Ballroom competition in 2009 that benefits the Lake Charles Whistlestop and Dancing Classrooms in schools as well as the charity “One Night” dance event and has worked with multiple competitive dance couples and those who just want to learn for fun. He has performed with Sarah Jones Ballet, Lake Charles Dance Academy in an American in Paris, Team Bum and countless variety shows. Having taken a step back from competing, he still teaches as often as possible alongside his wife Morgan. He is also the producer and founder of Spirit Guides, a local paranormal investigation YouTube series where he serves as the lead investigator and is a published author with his first book “Haunted Lake Charles, Through the eyes of a Lead Paranormal Investigator”.
